BA is an implant to which coating technology with a bio-absorbable material, hydroxyapatite (HA), is applied. The HA coat is ultra-thin, i.e., as thin as 10nm or less, and the HA is exposed with an SA titanium surface.
Rapid osteogenesis and osteointegration by HA has contributed to improving the initial stability of implants. Since the HA coated on the surface can be absorbed by an osteoclast during bone remodeling, HA-coated implants show excellent osteointegration without any concerns about desquamation even in the long term.
