The CA series consists of a new concept of ultra-hydrophilic implants with greatly improved affinity to blood by chemical processing on the SA surface through the activation of a titanium surface followed by storage in a calcium solution. CA implants have shown a more than threefold improvement in affinity to blood proteins compared to conventional SA products. These proteins can improve the attachment of osteoprogenitor cells, and stimulate differentiation into osteocytes and the proliferation of differentiated osteocytes, resulting in a dramatic increase of osteogenesis. It has been demonstrated that the osteogenic efficacy of the TSIII CA implant was increased by 30% or more compared to conventional SA implants in animal studies, leading to a reduction of the functional loading time after implant installation to as little as 4 weeks.
