Osteogenesis, which is needed to reconstruct damaged or lost periodontal tissue in terms of structure and function, is a three-step process consisting of bone formation, osteo-induction, and consteo-conduction. Our company is conducting research related to growth factors to induce bone formation, especially recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) and a new synthetic peptide mimicking rhBMP-2, PEP7. In addition, an allogenic implant material (B-Oss) with the restored structure and composition of natural ones and a synthetic implant material are also being developed.
